Well today is a big day for me! Status change this morning. Here is my timeline and I am sure some folks will be pretty annoyed.

CHL-100, application and supporting docs: 4/2

Fingerprints: 4/4

Confirmation email: 4/4

Website Change: 5/18

Plastic should be here in short order.

I am not sure how I was done so quickly, but I am not upset. I do wish the timelines were more uniform than they currently are though.

You submitted your paper work a total of 37 Calendar days or 27 business days after I submitted all docs and I haven't heard anything except "in progress". Completely freaking ridiculous !

40 days all in, looks like RSD is picking up the pace. I was shocked to see the status change when I just checked. Hopefully the mailman will be my friend come Monday/Tuesday.

Plastic in hand 5/18. No calls or emails from RSD stating my application was approved, or that it was sent to print. Tomorrow is the first day of carrying at the office.

Have you made a phone call? If not, it may be time. Your paperwork may be MIA. Better to find out now rather than later.

Florida the same way. On FLcarry I've seen husband and wifes have the same appointment time no criminal convictions or records and one gets their permit in a couple weeks and some take almost 90 days! totally uncalled for.

In Missouri it's all done at the county level and just about all the counties you walk in and they do it and in under 45 days you have a permit. Except for a couple counties it takes a couple months to get an appointment which is one of the reasons which helped push constitutional carry was a couple sheriffs having unacceptable policies.

I got an email from RSD on March 22, confirmation that all documents had been recieved. Been waiting ever since. The Texas LTC web site status finally changed 5/21/16, waiting as best I can for the mail
on Monday !

I am posting my wife's timeline. I think I am more excited about the status change than she is.

Logged on 5/22 and noticed status had changed. Not sure when it was actually changed, had not noticed it on Friday 5/20

Hopefully just a few more days and her plastic will be in hand. She is pretty close to the 60 days so looks like that RSD is getting caught up.

I was going to renew mine as soon as I could, at the 6 month mark which will be in June. Nothing has changed in my history so hopefully that renewal will be a quick turn around as well.

It's HERE!!! My wife's LTC came in the mail today. This is the shortest waiting time that I have heard of. Things are definitely looking up.

4/5 Completed LTC training
4/6 Completed online application
4/7 Fingerprints and mailed CHL-100
5/21 Status change
5/23 Received plastic
Never called DPS or anyone to help speed up the process. When I bought the LCP and extra mag I told her it was hers if she got her LTC. She claimed it. She shoots it very well. 48 days class to plastic.
