Renewal times - Fall '16?

#1

Post by pmcdn »

Just submitted my renewal today (11/12/16).

What have the average wait times been lately?

Renewal online 10-23-16
Received in mail 11-21-16 :tiphat:

I noticed they changed from my original CHL photo to my drivers license photo. Guess they wanted a more recent picture of my mug. Sure glad they did that instead of asking for a new one which would have certainly delayed the process. Getting the renewal notice 6 months in advance helps. Not much chance of license expiring regardless of what they ask for.

I was expecting them to use my DL photo as it is more recent than the old CHL photo. Nope. Old photo was used. Kinda surprised me.

I submitted 11/26 bc I was not paying attention to my renewal date. Was hoping for a miracle to get it back before expiration but no such luck. My bad. Today was day one of walking around with no gun. Feels so strange. Judging by this thread it will be a few more weeks.
