Did your son submit his CHL-100 form online or through the mail? It sounds like something was either mis-typed somewhere (either on the CHL100 or on the application) or one of the steps was missed.

*Note: Steps 1-3 can be completed in any order.
1.* Take LTC/CHL Course
2.* Get fingerprinted by IdentoGo
3.* Submit online application
4. Submit all documents to the state via the DPS RSD Submission

Received my plastic in the mail today.

11/19 - Took LTC Class
11/21 - Submitted online application
11/22 - Fingerprinted
11/23 - Submitted documents
12/8 - Background under review
12/9 - Print Pending
12/15 - Mailed
12/17 - Received

Just shy of one month from start of process to finish of process. Not bad at all. Much better than some of the horror stories I heard from several years back.

Good job State of Texas for getting the process down and issuing licenses in a timely manor.
