just got word from my best friends mom, he got robbed at his apartment and was shot three times in the process.
he's alive and thankfully hes a big guy so maybe that helped.
I should know more when I visit him in the hospital when I get off work.

GRAND PRAIRIE — Two men each face a charge of capital murder after a shootout left their accomplice dead and another man wounded, Grand Prairie police said.

Gunshots were reported at about 11:40 p.m. Monday at an apartment complex in the 1900 block of West Tarrant Road, police said.

Bethany Blackwell, 18, knocked on an apartment door and entered with two people in what police said was an intended robbery. A shootout occurred between the visitors and an armed man inside the apartment.

It was unclear who fatally shot Blackwell in the neck. The man inside the apartment was shot in the lower torso and taken to Methodist Dallas Medical Center.

It was unclear if anything was taken.

Police found one suspect at the complex and the second one nearby. Police were not releasing the names of the men until their arraignment , said Grand Prairie police Lt. Larry Simmons.

My prayers go to the Lord for your buddy and to the families of the BGs. This is a truly tragic situation. It is so sad that you can't be in your own home safely.

saw him today, he was pretty banged up (no pun intended) but he should be alright barring any "complications".
one bullet missed his heart by about 2inchs. His arm was severly damaged by one of the bullets though.

I dont think he yet realizes how lucky he is but there is plenty of time for reflection later.
