My Pops
My dad is not doing well, and I would like to ask for prayer for him.
A little background: Dad has had heart trouble for as long as I can remember. His first heart attack was at 36. It was discovered that part of the problem was an enlarged aorta, which was eventually "fixed" with a new (plastic) aortic valve. He has been on blood thinners since then to prevent blood clots.
Last month, he had surgery on his prostate. This was day-surgery, and simple for most men. His heart condition/valve complicate everything. He would not quit bleeding after the initial surgery. They went back in later to cauterize the prostate. This was rather painful for him. They told him to stay off it for "awhile."
He stayed off his feet and basically at home for two weeks. He thought yesterday that it would be safe to resume moderate activity, since the bleeding had stopped. He got out and walked around the yard with a sprayer for his flower beds. He started bleeding again.
They had to flush out the blood clots today, which my step-mother described as "horrible" for him. They performed another surgery, and are keeping him overnight. They now said to stay off his feet for six weeks.
My dad is accustomed to volunteering at church and for the Assoc. for the Blind, and is accustomed to being able to go to the gun range near his house. He's disabled, but does what he can and enjoys doing for others. Now, he is in pain and can't do anything and it's agonizing for him.
Please pray for a complete and total healing for my dad. I have been praying, but still haven't gotten a yes.
Also, if you know of any good urologists in the Houston area, please PM me. I'm about ready for him to see someone here.

Re: My Pops
I will pray for your Dad too, especially after my ordeal 2yrs ago.
I know Lufkin is 125 miles North of Houston but I asure you that Dr. Brent Campbell (mine) is one of the best anywhere. His track record is outstanding. As a pastor here since 1985 I have been here for his whole practice.

He will be in my prayers also.
There will always be prayer in schools as long as there are tests.

Re: My Pops
Your father has my prayer at morning and night.
Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16)
