Prayers for My Dad
My dad was recently diagnosed with stage 2 lung cancer with a mass in one lung and his esophogeal lymph nodes. The doctors think they caught it fairly early and so far his prognoses is good. Any good will you could send his way would be appreciated.
So my dad started chemotherapy and radiation the week before Christmas and so far things are looking good. He is still able to work and he feels good. They don't think surgery will be necessary after treatment. Thanks for all of your thoughts and prayers.

Re: Prayers for My Dad ***UPDATE***
My dad finished his first round a chemo a few weeks back and wento in today for his checkup/PET scan. The chemo did not work as well as we had all hoped. The 6mm mass on his lung only shrunk by 2mm and another 2mm mass was found on the same lung but on a different lobe. The good news was that his lymph nodes looked much better. The doctors have given him several options (surgery, more chemo, drugs, do nothing) all with simular prognoses. He and his wife are going to take the weekend to decidewhere to go from here. He is high spirited and told me it has never been in his hands and that it is up to the Lord and will pray for guidance. Thanks to everyone here for the continued support.

Prayers sent.

Re: Prayers for My Dad ***UPDATE***
Just a little update. My dad will have a Lobectomy Friday June1st to remove the middle lobe of his right lung where the 4mm mass is and also to remove a small section of the lower lobe on the same lung for the second (2mm) mass. He should be in the hospital for a week or so if all goes well. Right now his general heath is good and his spirit is high. He is 58 and expecting his 3rd grandchild (my 1st child) in August, he has a lot to live for and has a lot of fight left in him. Praying now for a steady handed surgeon, a short hospital stay and for God to continue to give him strength. Thanks for all the support.
