Prayers for my sister-in-law & her kids

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for my sister-in-law & her kids

#1

Post by CodeJockey »

About 1.5 years ago my good friend James, whom I've known since I was 16 years old, was diagnosed with Leukemia. In October he received a bone marrow transplant, and he's been in the hospital ever since. He has spent the majority of that time in the ICU. They have 3 beautiful kids ranging in age from 11 - 15. Last night my friend lost his battle with Leukemia, and went home to his heavenly father. He was married to my wife's sister.

It is with a heavy heart that I ask for prayers for Melanie (his wife) and their three children as they start the grieving process. He was a good friend, and he will be sorely missed. It was so hard for me losing my mom 1.5 years ago, and I'm 40 years old. I can't imagine losing a parent at such a young age.

James, I bid you a very fond farewell. Rest in peace, my friend.

I definitely will where I can. I can't even wrap my brain around their financial situation after close to 3 months in ICU. They had insurance but there are always tons of unexpected charges for consultations with out of plan doctors and the like.
