Early this morning, a young man who is an acquaintance of both my son's and mine shot himself to death. His mom and sister found his body this morning. Just yesterday evening he apparently seemed fine, and was out having fun with friends. His Facebook posts gave no indication that he was depressed or anything. His name was Brett.

The thing I remember that was cool about Brett was that he started and coached a woman's roller derby team for a few years. I always thought that was kind of interesting. We knew him as part of a group of people who were members of another forum called Zombie Squad.

Nobody saw this coming. Please be in prayer for his mother, sister, and other family.

Hate to hear this anytime but to think of a family's loss just days before Christmas is heartbreaking... and likely this is what they will think of every Christmas for a long time.

Prayers for comfort and strength to his family.

It appears this happens frequently during the Holidays. This is very very sad for his family and friends. We will be praying for his family as well as his friends like you and your son.

Prayers of comfort sent. I's so tragic to hear about these kinds of things, and it's especially troubling, when there was no warning signs for someone to be able to intervene.

Prayers for the family for comfort and peace. This will haunt them for years to come but especially at this time of year.

yeh....
unfortunately, I raised my kids with stories of a friend of mine....they understood that all too well.
