Prayers for my Mother

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for my Mother

#1

Post by pbwalker »

My mother is going to have open heart surgery in a little over a week to replace her aortic valve. Having survived ovarian cancer in her mid 40's, a carotid artery stent a few years ago, and running on ~40% capacity on one kidney, she's a fighter. I'd like to ask for even a small prayer for her and my family as she goes through this.

Thank you.

Thank you, all, for the prayers. Her procedure went as well as an open heart surgery could go. Her O2 levels were a little slow to recover, partly because she kept taking out the cannula in her medicated stupor. She'll be heading to an in-patient rehab facility for the next week or two once released from the hospital (as early as tomorrow) and should be "fully recovered" within the next 6 weeks.

Again, thank you for the prayers.
