Prayers for unknown woman.

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for unknown woman.

#1

Post by Jusme »

While eating with my family tonight at El Fenix in Burleson, an elderly woman collapsed at her table. Those close by began performing CPR, and first responders arrived within two minutes. They loaded her into the ambulance while still doing chest compressions. I never heard her name, but I overheard the woman, who was at the table with her, telling a police officer that she had aorta surgery a few years ago. They weren't able to revive her, and the ambulance left, not running code. Prayers for the unknown woman's family and friends. May she now be resting in the arms of her Lord.

It's awful for family. But I will point out that dropping dead during supper is maybe the best way to go apart from passing in your sleep. It prevents your family from having to make hard choices and it spares you the torture of being in a foreign place, sick and surrounded by strangers, discomfort, and fear.

It's too soon for all of us, but passing quickly is a true blessing. When it's time, I hope that all of us are so fortunate.
