Prayers for my family members

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayers for my family members

#1

Post by bblhd672 »

In the past couple of weeks my older sisters have had diagnosis’s of serious diseases.
Oldest sister has breast cancer.
Youngest sister had heart attack and part of her heart muscle is no longer functioning. This weekend her husband was diagnosed with lung cancer.
And, we had to move my mother into a nursing home because she needs more daily attention and care than she can provide for herself, plus the woman who was helping her at home started having health issues as well.
Prayers appreciated. God is in control.

Update on brother in law: he had surgery in June where the lower lobe of right lung and some suspect glands were removed. He seemed to recover well from the surgery and was regaining strength and lung capacity. Then the doctors started aggressive radiation treatments and chemo treatments. He has gone downhill since the radiation. Basically the radiation scarred his healthy lung tissues causing condition called radiation fibrosis which is incurable. He was recently admitted to ICU for several days due to his inability to maintain adequate oxygen levels, then was moved to extended care.
Now, the doctors say he has fluid buildup around his heart, has had a minor heart attack, pneumonia again and there is nothing more they can do for him. He has been given at most two months to live and is being transferred to an end of life care facility closer to their home.

My sister and brother in law are both Christians and have expressed they are at peace with God’s plan. Their children and grandchildren probably don’t have the same peace.

Continued prayers for our family is appreciated.
