Regional IDPA Matches ?

#1

Post by Piney »

Am I correct that I have to have shot in a recent Regional IDPA match to be able to compete in a State match ?

If this is the case--Where might I find a listing of Regional matches in TX, LA, and AR ?

Thanks--

Most State matches only have a requirement that you are currently an IDPA member and classified Marksman or above. Texas State has not had a local match requirement in the past 6 years. Only requirement I know of is for the Nationals, where you have to shoot two major matches to be qualified to apply.

In fact, I shot the 2006 Texas state match and was only classified as Novice with nothing but club matches before that. I was an actual IDPA member and had shot the classifier.
Reasonable gun control is hitting your target with the first shot.
