Did my part

#1

Post by Originalist »

I just emailed and snail mailed Rep Melendez, Sen Uresti, and Gov Perry and signed the petition for my support for OCing in Texas, I even sent a copy of the draft bill as seen on OpenCarry.org. Yes I know there are pro's and con's and everyone has a differing opinion so I offer my reasoning.......option, right, uninfringed.

I am all about regulating who can carry and prerequisistes required to carry (i.e. training and qualifying, etc) but how you carry should be your preference and your choice. I have been to PA and had the priviledge of the option. For the most part I CCed but it was nice to know I could stretch, wear confortable clothes and not sweat all over my XD9. It was nice to not worry that I was sitting and my shirt was riding high exposing the bottom of my holster, etc. If OC passed, I would mostly CC however I would carry OWB and there would be times where I would most definitly OC as well.

Any input

Good for you! :tiphat:

As you know, unfortunately, this Site is not as Pro-Active on OC as you and I think it should be, but that's another story.

I fully agree with you and suggest that it should have been part of the original CHL movement in the first place, I.E. "HL". :cheers2:
