CHL traffic stops answering traffic stop questions

Post by usmc386k »

When stopped by the police. City or State. Are you obligated by law to answer their questions. Such as them trying to find out where you are going and what's your business there etc. Or can you use your 5th Amendment right by remaining silent. I've always have liked given enough information to an officer on a traffic stop. Such as were my weapon is located etc. but I've always been bothered by answering their million questions afterward. Anyone know the stand on this while possessing a Texas CHL if you are obligated in answering all their questions. Since I've been advices say as little as possible while pulled over even while carrying legally.
