Thanks but I can't, it says in the Minimum Standards it must be locked in a safe and away from the ammunition.
Senator's office said they would create a file but there's nothing that can be done until the next legislative session in 2 years.
Edited to add: So as long as I want to keep doing this, I will be doing it unarmed or risk losing my license.
The Senator's office just called asking the location of the Minimum Standards code, so at least they are investigating it.
Suggestions please? Sorry, kinda long...

All I can say is, keep at it, and Document, Document, Document.
That way, if anything ever DOES happen, heaven forbid, it is well known that you WANTED to protect the children, but the government PREVENTED you from doing so.

IANAL, YMMV, ITEOTWAWKI and all that.

Could you meet expectations by having a couple of Gunvaults or other small lockboxes located in different areas so that a pistol would be accessible?

Midway has some lockable gun vaults for $23.

You might be able to have a locking file cabinet with something like a gun vault inside to get the 2 locked up seperate.
