Can someone 20 take the class a month before he turns 21 and then turn his paper work in after his 21st birthday?

Yes. Several of my students have done so. Just caution not to apply until actually 21.

Makes my son very happy also. Instead of going out drinking and partying for his 21st, he plans to submit his LTC application and then go buy a handgun he's been wanting. He wants several so I don't know which one he'll get. The apple doesn't fall from the tree.

Wouldn't it be a good idea to check with the instructor? Different instructions may have different policies. Just a thought. Maybe class size would be an issue.

I will check with the instructor, but it is a class I am sponsoring. I just want to know if it was legal so if I need to use another instructor I will.

It is legal. I believe Charles even covered this in one of his podcasts.
