Went to see Willy last weekend. Wife says to me as she nodded in front of us two rows "wow, that guy needs to cover up". I tell her that it has to be a LEO, as chl'rs are not permitted, and everyone goes thru the metal detectors. When he got up one time, the butt end of a Glock was discernible to a knowing eye. If anyone has an "off duty cop" look, this guy did. And he was large, i.e. in very good gym shape.
The troublesome thing was...he had ar least four - 24 ounce Shiners that I counted. Who knows what he had before he came inside.
I don't know what if anything I should have done?
Not good. I hope the pretty lady next to him drove home.

Re: Rodeo Situation
You did just what you should have done. Nothing. If the guy wasn't causing any trouble or bothering you and yours, best to stay out of it.
I agree that he wasn't exercising good judgment, but we can't police everyone.

Why was it improper?
You didn't say what the occasion or venue was. Were guns prohibited?

Re: Rodeo Situation
I am assuming from the Title it was at a Rodeo which is a Professional Sporting Event, therefore carry is prohibited.thetexan wrote:Why was it improper?

That, and also the very idea that someone carrying a gun was drinking rather heavily.

There's no law against a cop carrying a handgun when he's drunk.RossA wrote:You did just what you should have done. Nothing.
Tyranny is identified by what is legal for government employees but illegal for the citizenry.
Re: Rodeo Situation
Rodeo off limits, yes. Concert on the same property where the Rodeo will actually take place before or after the concert, I think carry is ok.RossA wrote:That, and also the very idea that someone carrying a gun was drinking rather heavily.
