"If somebody wants to come shoot me … having a sign on my door that says they're going to be convicted of trespass if they shoot and kill me in addition to murder probably isn't much of a deterrent," said Goode.
WHAAA??? You mean a sign won't stop a bad guy with a gun?

Since they began the clandestine and apparently uncontested removal of Confederate statues under cover of darkness on a Sunday night, I no longer follow the University of Texas in any regard. One exception would be to root for whichever team is playing them on Saturday afternoons. Not my circus, not my monkeys.

So there! :leaving

:iagree:

Never read so much convoluted logic, tied in with the fact that it only affects less than one percent of all college students. Then the barely mentioned fact, that since the law's inception, there have been zero incidences, not only at UT, but any Texas university.
Just more complaints about a total non issue. I would think that the big 12 have many more problems, than how many non-convicted football players, may own guns.

I'm even further amazed at the idea, that the writer thinks, that the 2A was only so white people could shoot native Americans. But I guess, PC is only a one way street.

There are so many wrong or biased things in that article, I don't know where to start. I don't know if the writer skipped any research, or is trying to slant the article. Probably both.

The logic goes like this:

"A bad guy will just ignore the sign and bring a gun in anyway. I have a great idea! Y'all check this out! We make a law that the gun itself is illegal! Y'all get it? THEN he won't have a gun to even decide to come in here with! No sign necessary anymore! I'm a genius! AMIRITE?!"

There's a big overlap between the group who won't stand for the national anthem and the group pushing to remove CSA flags and statues. I predict the politicians who cave on one flag will cave on another.

Why do professors always think a so many students want to kill them? Maybe that a sign of another kind.

If the sign won't stop them at your door, non campus carry won't either. And everyone says how safe college is. Really??? Nothing bad ever happens on campus!?!? Wow, talk about avoiding reality.

It looks like most of the comments have that jack-wagon figured out.
