My Walther P99 AS 9mm has a 15 round mag capacity, but when I'm CCing I just load it with 9+1. It makes a BIG difference in the perceived weight and comfort of the gun. And it's hard to imagine a situation 10 rounds of 124 gr. +P Gold Dot wouldn't get me out of, anyway.

Primary EDC is 13+1, and often a 16 rd spare mag. Wish I could say I always carry the spare.
Deep concealment option is 6+1, plus 6 rd spare. ALWAYS carry this spare.

My wife has replaced her Ruger LCR .38 (5 and 5 round speed loader) with her new Walther PPS M2 LE as her every day carry. She carries 6+1 OWB strong side, concealed, with an 8 round mag on her support side.

Normally I carry my M&P9 for CC and OC so 17+1 plus a spare mag. If I want to remain very CC (Church, social outing, etc) I carry my Taurus G2 with 12+1 and spare mag. On days when I'm feeling very 'MERICA I carry my 1911 .45 7+ 1 w/ a spare 8 rd. mag.
