no pic; when is opening day?

#1

Post by SlowDave »

So, can't seem to find this anywhere so I'm here to ask the stupid question? When is opening day for regular deer season for TX in 2010? Typically right around the 1st of Nov, so is it 30-Oct or 6-Nov?

Thanks in advance

Typically Bow season starts first Saturday of October which will be the 2nd this year. Then, gun season opens the first Saturday in November so I would say the 6th this year.

Based on today's date it seems like forever away.

I agree Dan. Slow time of the year here. No hunting going on. It's almost Spring Turkey time though.... Then dove season and before you know it deer season will get here.

The area I hunt has no hogs, no turkey and only the occasional dove.

It's a great duck, deer and alligator spot though!

Well, I'm a motorcycle race fan, and the seasons are just starting, so I'm ending my dead zone. Race season goes right into football and hunting season. It's Jan-March that have almost nothing in my book. Thanks for the info on season opening!
