I'm of the opinion that if I need a tactical battle plan to attend a movie, I'll just stay home and watch a DVD.

Wife & I do that anyway, with the cost of 2 tickets, popcorn, drinks & candy approaching $45.00 for us, it's just plain not worth it. I can get a lot more fun spending $45 on other things than just an outing to the movies.

IMO, the author wrote the article to educate his readers that have absolutely NO situational awareness what-so-ever. A primer into situational awareness if you will, overemphasizing in detail, what options can/should be considered. And it's obvious that the author did not even consider those that have CHL's. Only unarmed people.

I also believe that he went into such detail, that his research material came from military situational awareness training manuals, and applied them to a theater setting. Just my opinion. But still good for thought for all of us. ;-)

Forget the tactical battle plan....it's been a long time since I could find a movie theater where people weren't texting, talking on their phones, talking loudly, or letting their kids run up and down the isles. I gave up on movie theaters years ago.

If memory serves me, I believe the last movie I attended was Ghostbusters.

VMI77,

Exactly, and let's not forget the guy situated behind you who just has to put his knees on the back of your seat and keeps moving them causing you to move a little left, then right and then forward...

Netflix, here I come!

I'm a big movie buff but I gave up on theaters long ago once I saw the digital projector setup in my son's dorm at A&M. When we were in town I had a dedicated "theater" room with a projector. Since we moved out to the country I've scaled down to a 70" TV. Mostly streaming with Netflix or Amazon, but still buy DVD's.
