Apparently all out war, in Port au Prince.

Machete is the weapon of choice, since there are not that many guns.

Haiti has gone from really bad to reports of cannibalism. Total breakdown of society. U.S. aid missionaries pleading for rescue.

One problem with having a President who is not up to the job is his handlers fail to see the importance of places like Haiti.

Preferring to worry about places half way around the world.

A stitch in time saves nine. Had we intervened sooner many innocent lives would have been saved. Plus a lot more money will be required to save these people.

Glad the Clintons were able to accomplish so much here.

If I was China or Russia I would be all over this. Really a lot of nice military bases could be created on these poor islands.

In the 1980's I had a warrant officer who was from Haiti. The Army had a mission there, and he was approached for the assignment. He said something like, "I worked very hard to get out of there. I do not wish to go back."

Back in 2010 following the earthquake in Haiti, I was involved in prepping and training a large number of military personnel who deployed there for humanitarian relief (primarily medics, engineers, and MPs). When they got back, all whom I spoke with were disgusted that they had gone down on a legitimate humanitarian mission and most of the Haitian people they came into contact with stole them blind. All said that it was a big mistake for the US to try and do anything for them as the people who truly needed the help got nothing and either the gangs or government took everything.

The country and it's disasters have been a cash cow for the Clinton's as well as local corrupt politicians. I recall that a man who tried to blow the whistle after the Clinton's enriched themselves ended up dead.
