I do wish that whoever proof read her speech would have caught one very significant fact:

The Second Amendment "recognizes" a pre-existing right and does not "grant" that right.

That is because Maryland has clueless politicians. It is caused by the runoff from DC.

Like many other States, there are actually two Marylands. There is the part next to DC that is part of the mind-melded cesspool of politics. Then there is the Eastern Shore. Most of us would be right at home with the people there. I suspect that this young lady might be from the Eastern Shore area. Guns are big there. In the rest of the State, not so much.
