Continued prayers please!
I would like to ask for continued prayers. As a lot of you know I have been in the hiring process with my dream Police D. I had the interview in September and have been waiting on a phone call. Well praise the Lord the phone call came today. She said I have to come by in the morning and fill out some paperwork for my polygraph and the conditional hirement that as long as I pass my poly, psych, drug screening, and physical then I start the academy Dec 12th. Pray for wisdom and clear thinking and that I'll be able to pass! The Lord has carried me this far because I know I couldn't have made it on my own. It's by His doing I have made it this far and I recognize that and praise Him! Thank y'all for your prayers!
Re: Continued prayers please!
That is great to hear. We will keep praying for you as you continue the hiring process.

Continued prayers. Glad to hear you have the opportunity.
When you get into the academy, I would recommend that you get together with other students in study groups. It sure helps. There is a lot of info to digest in a short period of time.

The academy will be a great experience, you will meet friends that will stay with you for a long time, and they are a great resource if you need info on people/cases etc., who live or work in their jurisdictions. I would not only have my friend in a study group, but others as well. There will be things you snap on quicker than others and vice versa. You will learn all of the basics of police work, but never stop training, and learning more. Some department's training budgets are limited, so take the time to get the training on your own, even if it comes out of pocket.
Continued prayers, and best wishes.
