What about changing the bottom rubber swipe into a brush? Some type of one way vent would certainly help, have seen suggestions for using a mail slot. Keeping the air from circulating in that spot (the air cushion between the doors) is more important for efficiency than it being air-tight.
ETA: You could also try a second closer on the bottom.

I drilled two 1/2" holes on each side into the 2x4 frame between the doors to relieve the pressure. Going up through the top is probably not an option as they usually install a heavy top plate that may be 6" or more thick.

My entry door is a triple panel doorway, with the door in the center and a windowed side panel on either side. Drilling holes in the door side frame will do no good.RPBrown wrote:I drilled two 1/2" holes on each side into the 2x4 frame between the doors to relieve the pressure. With door window opened just enough to make it close properly. Any less is a no go.TreyHouston wrote:now I am super curious! why not post a picture of your door(s)?
