I'm glad they are conducting a drill, but their only responses for people caught in a situation, basically come down to "run" or "hide" While that my sometimes be the best options, there could be times when fighting back is a better one. JMHO

At least they announced the drill in advance. That's much safer for the red team.

I've stayed at the Horseshoe Bay Resort many times.

Considering the resort's hundreds of weekly visitors and its huge economic impact on the community, did the drill extend to the resort?

If not, was the drill worth anything at all?

Probably made the career leftist politicians feel good.

If they learn from it I'm all for it. It does seems a little unusual that a place with less than 800 residents would have this exercise. :headscratch

Oops! I just realized this is Horseshoe Bay not Horseshoe Bend, which is what I looked up!

According to the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, an active shooter situation entails an individual engaged in killing or attempting to kill people in a confined or populated area.
Like say, Chicago every weekend?

This is a very left leaning area, all of the cities and towns around there, have police chiefs, sheriffs, mayors, etc. who have done everything they can to thwart LTC holders from legally carrying. I'm sure this was a "feel good" measure to show people how quickly they will respond if they are suddenly attacked, by one of us crazy gun owners. JMHO

Why weren't they advocating, find cover, return fire?

Oh right, duck and cover, or run, sheesh, what was I thinking...?

It would be nice to see them have an ordinary employee that does indeed seek cover, then pull their CC weapon and take the intruder out before more lives were threatened.
Just some guy's opinion.
