Reloading Room Floor

Postby Lynyrd » Tue May 16, 2017 9:59 pm

If I ever get around to building a reloading room, I think I'm gonna make the floor out of brass casings like this.

Here is the DIY article about the penny floor.

I would have to flatten the brass, but wouldn't this be nice in brass?
Do what you say you're gonna do.

Take a bandsaw to all the junk brass (berdan primed, steel, aliminum, splits etc.) and cut the heads off - all at maybe 3/16 of an inch...section a few bullets lengthwise...throw in a few bargain bin firing pins, hammers-
That would be an awesome floor or better yet - bar top.
When any govt, or church, says This you can't read, are forbidden to know, the result is tyranny and oppression. Little force is needed to control a man who has been hoodwinked; no force can control a free man, not the rack, bombs, not anything, you can't conquer a free man, at most you can kill him.

Seems like it'd be too high maintenance for a workspace floor. But I agree, it'd be a killer bar top or coffee table. With the variety of case/primer combinations out there in each caliber, there's a ton of flexibility in the design.
