Eclipse pics?

#1

Post by loktite »

Anyone get any pictures of last month's eclipse to share?

This was taken at 1:23 pm (I believe 1:09 was the greatest % for us?), using a 20-60 spotting scope (think it was set to 35x or 40x ) to project the image on concrete. Sunshield was a 6 tin Altoid box with hole punched in middle for eyepiece of spotting scope.

Those are excellent. What kind of filter were you using Jake?

Is a solar filter made by Celestron for the scope. Snaps on in place of the cover.

Very nice!
I loaded the family up and made a quick trip to Geneva, Nebraska to see the total eclipse. I'm no photographer, took this picture of the shadows under a tree with my phone.

Excellent from an art/creative perspective. Worthy of printing and framing for a table as a remembrance of an event many do not get to experience because of time or location. :thumbs2:
