After the Mayor asks landlords to not charge rent to tenants whose apartments are unliveable, his Houston Housing Authority requires their tenants to pay Septembers rent or face going to the end of the line on new apartments that become available.

180 disabled and elderly low income residents of a high rise apartment building owned by the Houston Housing Authority ( City of Houston ) have been given 5 days to move out or be evicted.

The building flooded on the first floor and basement. Only one of three water pumps is working, but the fire alarm system is not operating.

What is the name of the person in charge for that particular department at the city of Houston?

They have been sued by the residents, and the deadline is now flexible or something.

I'm sure this guy gets a lot of money for doing this job. To me a third grader could have predicted this.

Predicted what? Buffalo Bayou will flood again and damage buildings built on its banks, or incompetence and corruption in a city run by Democrats?

At a time when people everywhere are helping flood victims, the government gives 5 day eviction notices to the poor disabled and poor elderly, when their homes were not flooded and were livable. Did you not realize there would be general condemnation of you, your orginization and the liberal administration you work for and in the end the people wouldn't move out anyway? Is it really possible to be that stupid? Apparently it is.

Kingwood which is part of the City of Houston's far North side is along the San Jacinto river. Further North the Lake Conroe dam provides water for the City of Houston.

It proclaims that it is not a flood control dam. It proved that earlier when it released an unprecedented amount of water from the dam late at night. Residents were given very little warning. The historic release was in anticipation of more rain the next day, that did not occur. All this is according to a friend that lives in Kingwood. His one story house that had never flooded, got four feet of water from the release, well after the rains had stopped. Most of the homes flooded in Kingwood had never flooded before. Many got as much as 8 feet of water. Since the timing of the release was late at night many people were sleeping when the waters rose. One of his neighbors drown. Another is the victim of the flesh eating virus story below. He feels he is lucky to be alive.

I will get to help pay the bill for all the lawsuits that have been filed.
