Some Interesting Bible Facts

Post by carlson1 »

The shortest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 117.

The longest chapter in the Bible is Psalm 119.

The center chapter in the Bible is Psalm 118.

There are 594 chapters before and after Psalm 118.

When you add 594 plus 594 you get 1188 and Psalm 118:8 is the center of the Bible.

No accident then: Psalm 118:8 “It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man.”

Treating one variety of person as better or worse than others by accident of birth is morally indefensible.

When has wikipedia been an authority on any subject? There are many different translations and the English versions differ slightly in number of verses and chapters, from the original text.

Wikipedia mentions that there are a lot of differences... but uses the KJV for their "authoritative" answer.

I'll take a Pastor's word on this one. :tiphat:
