Where I work in Africa - I'm the only American for the majority of time. I made mention of the anniversary of Pearl Harbor afew times and it was to blank stares....I can tell you that it is a lonely feeling.

The anniversary of the start of the Battle of The Bulge is on 16-Dec. We always remember that one also as my wifes father was in the 101st - he survived as did 3 of his brothers who fought in the war and all came home - from both theaters.
