Obama was inclined to move forward with whatever he wanted to do whether or not it was legal or constitutional. He figured he would get his goal accomplished by the time it made its way through the court system.

Just because he did it this way, doesn't mean Trump or future administrations should. At some point, someone needs to rise up and take the high road and get things done properly. However, that would take all three branches of government staying in their lanes and upholding their respective duties. I recognize, this may be a pipedream.
