Riot at NY high school after a teacher attended a pro Israel rally and held a pro Israel poster. She posted it on Facebook. She taught there for 23 years. Having been on the NYC subway I think the NG is the least of the problems there. Bigger issues are criminally insane people on the train with you and no means of lawful defense.

A rifle is far more accurate than a handgun or shotgun and would be a preferred weapon in a crowded space. Unlike the NYPD, the NG actually has a reasonable level of firearms training. NYPD shooting qualifications are largely "can you operate the gun" more than testing any kind of marksmanship ability. At the NY airports they would only use NG who were specially vetted.
