I have sympathy for all the LEOs in NYC who want to do the right thing but basically have their hands tied. The volume of "pre-crime" work they're now tasked with has gone through the roof, while their manpower has been going down and response times to and investigation of violent crime goes up. If they make a good collar, then a waste of air like DA Alvin Bragg let's the perp walk with nothing but a sternly worded warning...if that. A lot of them have packed up and left. But that's gotta be a difficult decision for an officer who was born there, has a lot of family there, and who may be carrying on a long family tradition of NYPD officers.

Too, just like Texas, the Marxist voting cesspool is in the big cities. 43% of the whole state's population lives in New York City. I've known families in the more rural, upstate areas in New York that were conservative, religious, gun owners who absolutely never voted for Kathy Hochul or Andrew Cuomo or David Patterson. I can relate. I live in Harris County, but there's nothing I can do to get rid of Sheila Jackson Lee or help put a Republican mayor in office in Houston.

And we're still sitting with only a fairly slim Republican voting majority in Texas because the blue vote is in the large urban areas and along the border. In the 2012 presidential election, Texas overall voted 57.2% Republican. In 2016 that was 52.2%, and in 2020, 52.1%. We've slipped 5.1% in just three election cycles. The Dems want to do everything they can to that majority. The Biden Border and 6 million new undocumented aliens since January 2021 could help tip the scales (if dead people can vote, we know a ton of illegals are going to, also). If the governorship and the legislative majority slips back to Democrat, we could be in a world of hurt. A scant 60 years ago Texas was heavily blue, with only 16 counties voting Republican in the presidential race.

New York isn't the fault of all the state's voters. It's the fault of most of the state's voters.

Man indicted for stopping crazy guy threatening subway passengers. Crazy guy actually made some list of top 50 insane people in NYC on the street. He’s been removed from list after dieing from drug overdose while Marine was holding him for police.

https://nypost.com/2023/06/14/man-kille ... g-sources/

Ex-con who is harassing woman passenger, man’s girlfriend yells something at him to get him to stop, so he punches her, boyfriend steps in and saves girlfriend. ExCon ends up being stabbed to death, so boyfriend is arrested for murder.

And so it goes in NYC.

This actually makes sense when you realize the goal is to waste as much money as possible to bring about societal collapse.

NYC lawmaker Inna Vernikov arrested for allegedly bringing gun to Brooklyn College pro-Palestinian rally

https://www.foxnews.com/us/nyc-lawmaker ... nian-rally

She was peacefully observing the rally from a distance ( don’t know if it was in her district) she was carrying her gun most likely to protect herself in case she was attacked by pro Palestinian protestors. She has a permit to carry the gun the gun is registered. Apparently some one photographed her and saw the butt of the gun exposed.

She turned herself in after she learned she would be arrested for carrying a gun in a sensitive area. You apparently are suppose to know what a sensitive area is as I suspect it is not defined and there are no signs or barriers to tell you not beyond this point.

So even with a permit and a registered gun and a politician you can still be arrested for being peaceable in NYC

Shall not be infringed.

Exactly why I don't use appendix carry. I like the potential speed-of-access advantage, but I sure don't want to be arrested for carrying a gun in a sensitive area. Besides, I've never been able to sit comfortably for long periods with IWB appendix carry.

Here is the law
Sensitive Places: The new measures build on the constitutional carveout for protecting “sensitive places,” barring the carrying of firearms in specific public settings, such as: colleges and universities, hospitals, houses of worship, public transportation, including subways, places where alcohol is consumed, homeless shelters and other public residential facilities, entertainment venues, such as stadiums, theaters, casinos, and polling places, and places where children gather, such as schools, daycare centers, playgrounds, libraries parks and zoos.

https://ag.ny.gov/new-york-gun-laws

So pretty much any public place is sensitive.

Jewish students trapped by pro Palestinian protestors in College Library. " Hide in the attic like Anne Frank"
Security locked the doors to protect them from the mob.
Security led them out of the library through secret tunnels.
