New Toy

#1

Post by G.A. Heath »

I got a new toy today, and it doesn't have have the letters "AR" in the name or model number, in fact its not even an autoloader. I learned to shoot on an 1940s on an old Mossberg bolt action .22 in from 1949 through 1954. I still have it, with a cheap scope mounted on it and zeroed at an unbelievable range for a .22LR. I also have a "few" more bolt guns in my collection. But today a new Savage Model 10 Predator Hunter package (it comes with with scope and rings) had to follow me home.

Specs are:
Caliber: .22-250
Finish: Mossy Oak (Applied to action, barrel, stock, bolt handle, scope and rings)
Weight: 7.25lbs
Magazine capacity: 4rds
Twist rate: 1 in 12
Scope: Simmons 4-12x40 AO Prosport
Misc: AccuTrigger, Fixed Magazine, Three position safety.

I haven't got to shoot it yet, but tomorrow I may.
How do you explain a dog named Sauer without first telling the story of a Puppy named Sig?
