Thank you. Hmmmm.... Gen2s used to ship with dust covers. I have some. I don't know about the Marines, but PMAGs have seen overseas combat with the services almost since they first came out.....maybe not as issued gear, but in use anyway.

I didn't know that the USMC banned them in '12, seems they can't make up their mind!

I did not like the fact that in Gen3 the dust cover cannot be clipped on the bottom like on Gen2. For service, it is unclip it and throw away or do not care. For mere us, we would like to keep it.
