So this just dropped:

Looks like street price is $625-650. I think I may have found my next rifle.

This may explain why the current model is seeing such a significant discount

I saw this earlier this morning... Someone posted on the Ruger forum that their dealer cost was only $58 more than the AR-556... The market is saturated, so I expect the street price to come down after a little bit.

I'm surprised that they are releasing a new AR model given the current market situation. I can only assume that this was in the design phase pre-election.
