Kansas Bill - Concealed Carry Without Permit

#1

Post by gthaustex »

Kansas is making a move to allow concealed carry without a permit. Looks like they have a lot of support in the legislature. Of course the antis are against it:
"Kansas should not become the fifth state to allow dangerous people - including felons, fugitives, domestic abusers and the severely mentally ill - to evade Brady background checks and carry loaded guns in public without a permit," Brady Campaign spokesman Brian Malte said in an email.
I'm not sure what he thinks felons, fugitives, domestic abusers and mentally ill are doing with guns in the first place. Sounds like sensationalism to me to appeal to emotions. The sky is falling....

Definitely slinging FUD.

The need for a permit is not going to stop a criminal from carrying a gun. However, it will stop a law-abiding citizen from carrying a gun.

Those prohibited from possessing guns will still be barred from carrying concealed.
Keep calm and carry.
