I purchased a Pelican 1170 from Amazon for under $40 then purchased two 5/8" padlocks from Walmart. Hope this helps. Works great for my Glock 19, two mags, and one 50 round box of ammo.

Do NOT walk up to the ticket counter, raise your voice, and say "I HAVE A GUN!!!!"

That'd be like yelling 'FIRE' in a theater! Not too good!

Unless it is s very sturdy case that cannot be easily broken into, I would not use the case that housed then firearm from the manufacturer. My Glock case could in no way stand up to these rule from TSA.
