Licensed gun owner has his guns seized after confronting a man with knife at 3 am at his house. He used his unloaded .22 rifle as a essentially a prop to force the man into submission.

His permit to have the guns for varmit control is under review. The police would have preferred him to just call 911 and wait.
What an interesting take on self defense / use of force -- upon being met with imminent deadly force, one should simply call for help and hope.

I prefer the laws we have here, of course, where intended victims can legally have a fighting chance.
