Papa John's Pizza delivery woman stops robbery

She missed on the shot placement (he lived), but she was on the ground after all, and she did save her life. Good job! I wrote the company to let them know what I thought of their PC response. I'll probably get a nice canned response about how they are just protecting their employees. Puke!

"The safety of Papa John's employees is a top priority for our company, " the company said in an email to FoxNews.com.
Which is of course why they insist on them being unarmed while driving out to meet a stranger.

Well, it does say she's being "reassigned to another role." Maybe after some marksmanship training they'll make her the sniper on the High Threat Delivery Team.

Hey she was on the ground and put a round in his face!
I think connecting with a head shot is pretty good.
Maybe it was a grazing shot or maybe her gun was a
small caliber and that's why it wasn't fatal.

She was attacked, she fired, she hit him, she drove off her attacker, she lived. Pretty much perfect. Killing the attacker is not the goal, going home safe is. Would be handy if the dirtbag never bothered anyone again, but not required she be the one who takes him out.

Pizza Hut fires their armed delivery drivers, so kudos to Papa Johns. I just hope transferring to another job means she's tired of deliveries and wants to do something else, not just deflecting public criticism until no one's looking and then dumping her.
