Art Acevedo to be named Houston Police Chief :(

As the name indicates, this is the place for gun-related political discussions. It is not open to other political topics.

The real threat to Texas is the California refugees who come like locusts and turn the state into what they fled. That and the Feds enfranchising millions of illegals so they can vote Democrat.
You know... there is some truth in that. Colorado has been feeling this for a long time. Another state with this issue is Idaho. It's basically a very conservative, traditional state, lots of hunting, fishing, camping, etc., liberal gun laws, just a basic, down-to-earth culture. Now Californians are pouring into the bigger cities there, especially Boise, and trying to get on city councils and start silly, feel-good social programs nobody wants or needs, and raise taxes to pay for them. Anti-Californian sentiment is VERY strong there, almost militant. And then you have Texas.....

Red to blue is a very real concern IMNSHO. Although dated (in the sense that the numbers are likely now greater), an interesting article:

The immigrants from California might be a bigger threat to Texas than the immigrants from the Middle East.

As much choice as our ancestors did to King George's appointments.

Just putting this out there.....

A.A. was recently the guest on Lance Armstrong's "The Forward Podcast". About 64 min. long, available at the link below and elsewhere. No, I haven't listened to it yet; I generally only listen when the guests are cycling related.....
