Does Hawaii require a fee when applying? I assume it would be non-refundable. Sounds like a scam to me.

Re: ZERO CHL Permits in Hawaii
From what I can tell, $10 application fee plus $16.50 for fingerprinting if not already on file with the county chief of police (i.e., already on file for firearm registration). Applicants must show extraordinary need for a concealed handgun, meaning direct and demonstrable threat; a desire for general defense of self or family doesn't cut it. And evidently no applicant in at least 17 years has been able to prove extraordinary need to any of Hawaii's chiefs of police.sjfcontrol wrote:Does Hawaii require a fee when applying?
