Citigroup enforcing gun control

Citigroup Inc. plans to prohibit retailers that are customers of the bank from offering bump stocks or selling guns to people who haven’t passed a background check or are younger than 21.

The bank is imposing the restrictions on companies that use it to issue store credit-cards or for lending and other services, according to a memo Thursday. The lender also barred the sale of high-capacity magazines.

I don't know what can be done legally to fight back against idiotic policies that to me are limiting a right to make legal purchases of items whose ownership is guaranteed by the constitution , but if there is I'd like to see a plethora of lawsuits initiated. Also every Citibank card holder should complain to them and drop their cards. I am doing exactly that after my balance is paid off.

By the end of the year will there be any progressive socialists left in the closet?

Let's welcome the opportunity for all individuals, companies and organizations to get out in the open and show where they stand.
May they all suffer unintended consequences.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

Do they have the right to refuse to allow their credit cards to be used to pay for abortions? Alcohol? Pornography? Were they to use this power for a conservative cause, would they face legal challenges?

I think that they're operating within their rights, and see this an affirmation of my decision to avoid them. I do however wnt to see the same standards applied equally.

Or to require prospective customers to pass a test so they can weed out democrats? Unfortunately, I think the answer to both questions is yes.

in this age of self-determination of race and gender and odd religious beliefs we need Church of the Gun members to decry this obvious discrimination! If there's not a Church of the Gun we need one. I have firm ethical and moral belief we should defend ourselves.
Religious discrimination involves treating a person (an applicant or employee) unfavorably because of his or her religious beliefs. The law protects not only people who belong to traditional, organized religions, such as Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, and Judaism, but also others who have sincerely held religious, ethical or moral beliefs.

You may be on to something there! Someone else beat you to it though. http://ronhelwig.com/first_church_gun

It doesn't even have to use firearms as the object of the religion, but require firearms ownership and training to be a member.

I just closed my Citibank Visa. The retention department sounded like they weren't surprised when I said it was their firearms policy and interestingly they asked me to confirm the reason. I don't think they'll change their policy, but I do believe that they'll think more about their virtue signalling in the future.

I understand that my business is hardly material, but I believe that many of these companies will be surprised that gun owners and NRA members are much more likely to act on their beliefs than the gun control crowd. How many extra accounts do you think Citi is going to get because of their banking policy vs. the number they will lose. They are actually full of it too, I guarantee they'll keep their accounts open for the giant defense manufacturers, even if they own subsidiaries that sell firearms to the public.

The "money" involved in gun manufacturing for civilian use is really a pittance compared to most industries. This is another one of the Left's lies about the politics. Also the NRA does not represent manufacturers and businesses, they represent us, gun owners. NSSF is the business lobby for the firearms industry and there's nothing wrong with them either, but I guarantee their political contributions are dwarfed by the Left.
