Like Soccerdad1995 stated there are those of us that have kids that play sports and have other hobbies. I've never bought guns or gun related items at the store other than a Pelican case and a Stack-On storage cabinet that were on sale. What I have bought are school clothes, shoes, socks, backpacks, gym equipment, bicycles, and a lot of sports equipment. I looked at my scorecard for the past year and spent almost $900 since this time last year. I know I've spent even more in past years.

I've always shopped there because it was the closest sporting store to me and I always had good coupons plus my scorecard for discounts. I haven't shopped there since they decided to rip law abiding US citizens of their rights by not allowing 18 - 21 to buy guns and I'll never shop their again. Seeing their backing anti-gun lobbyists makes me wish I could take everything back and get my money back. It's sick.

I'll drive a little further to Academy from now on and continue using my local gun store.

Don't forget Field and Stream is owned by Dicks.

I disagree. I think their current name fits just fine.

The "Left" is a far more fragmented group than the MSM portrays it as. They don't trumpet their stance on abortion to African Americans or Hispanic Catholics. They don't talk about gun control in Vermont or the Midwest. They don't talk about reducing defense spending whenever the base being downsized is local.

Unity in action is something that we are far better at.

I guess they are hiring Gun Control Lobbyists in the bizarre hope that they can level the playing field. That is to say, if National Gun Control is somehow achieved, then Academy and all other their other retail rivals will have to stop selling guns. Thus Dick's would no longer be facing a product range disadvantage.

Yes, maybe they could also hire lobbyists to ban all other products that they currently carry. Then they would have a level playing field as they and all competitors go out of business.

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/busi ... ales-slide
Sales at Dick's Sporting Goods dropped in the past three months amid backlash against tighter gun-sale restrictions following a mass killing early this year at a Florida high school.

Revenue dipped 4.5 percent to $1.86 billion amid challenges in the company's hunting business during the quarter through Nov. 3. Sales at stores open at least 12 months – a key metric for the retail industry – fell 6.1 percent compared to the prior year.
The left lies about everything. Truth is a liberal value, and truth is a conservative value, but it has never been a left-wing value. People on the left say whatever advances their immediate agenda. Power is their moral lodestar; therefore, truth is always subservient to it. - Dennis Prager

I don't know.... every time I've been in Dick's, the hunting/fishing/camping department has been utterly deserted. The rest of the store is just overpriced yuppie designer stuff.

Eliminating as Future Customers future Campers/ hunters/sportsmen who'll need cold weather gear & equipment? Sounds like they hired the Toys R Us managers who were out of a job after supporting Planned Parenthood who eliminated their future children customers

Company shares slide. Blames Under Armour, not guns.
