Prayer Request For a Friend

Whether the need is great or small, there is power in prayer, especially when God's people raise their voices together.

Prayer Request For a Friend

#1

Post by WildBill »

Today I received some horrible news.
A friend, who I have known for more than 40 years, is very ill.
Her doctors estimate that she has only a few more weeks to live.
Her family has requested privacy so all I will say is that her name is Mary.
I worked with Mary for many years and she is a wonderful person and great friend.
Together we survived many trials and tribulations at work and in our personal lives.
She loves riding horses, fishing, camping, shooting and other outdoor activities.
I got to know her father and he introduced me to the head game warden for
Northern California who was in charge of Hunter Safety Instructors.
Mary's father recommended me to be certified as a hunter safety instructor.

Mary has been heavily involved in her church since before I knew her.
In fact, she ended up marrying the Sunday School teacher.
She is very active teaching and sings in the church choir.
She is a very good artist, painting watercolors, pencil drawings and photography.
I could go on and on with stories, but I am just devastated by this news.

Please pray for Mary, her husband Mike and her family.

From her website:
Romans 11:36
For of Him, and through Him, and to Him, are all things: to Whom be glory forever. Amen.

Prayers sent WildBill, she sounds like a wonderful person and if she counts you among her friends I have no doubt about her character.
Praying for God's miracles.

Bill, I am so sorry. We'll pray.

I just found out that Mary Cockrell passed away after her battle with multiple myeloma.
She will surely be missed by me and many other friends and family members.
I am continuing with my prayers.

God will welcome her into His kingdom and cherish Mary's soul for eternity.
  • Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. (John 11:25-26)
I feel and understand your loss, my friend. As we age...as we age, losing those closest to us, before us, is the cruelest blow.
