LTC Permit and Back Taxes

#1

Post by DLuke00 »

Has anyone experienced trying to obtain a permit while owing back taxes? Also, I'm trying to get the their definition of "finally determined" in relation to owing these back taxes. Thanks!

Welcome to the forum.

Are you talking state, county, city or federal? If state, then they will know your status whether you have had a judgement against you in court or not. if federal, I don't think the state cares. if county or city, then they may know if you have had a ruling in court.

Keith, thank you for the response! These are for property taxes that were not paid. I have received notification that they are in collection status.

Then more than likely they would know and hold up your CHL. Not 100% sure, but best to get them paid before you apply. :thumbs2:

Back in 1970 I was fooled into buying land for an investment. The deal turned out to be a scam.
I had to pay taxes on the worthless junk land before I could get my license
paying the taxes was adding insult to injury. I still have to pay six dollars a year
in taxes for nothing to keep my license.

I have willed the worthless land to an organization that I do not like
to protect my family from getting stuck with it

I love that!!! I'm going to try that myself with some of the worthless "antiques" my mother-in-law has given to me over the years.
Best advice I was ever given- Don't mess with the dog while he's eatin'.

Why not donate to a tax free organization?. Like a Church. :evil2:
I won't be wronged, I won't be insulted, and I won't be laid a hand on.
I don't do those things to other people and I require the same of them.
