Between Le Pen and Macron, who is the most likely to win the election?

I would agree with that prediction.

Donald Trump says don't bet on it.

Donald Trump also said he get Obamacare repealed and the border wall started in the 1st 100 days. Donald Trump says a lot of things.

Donal Trump isn't a political genius, he just came along at the right time. Steve Bannon is/was his political genius, and Bannon has been demoted a bit because all the usual sycophants can't get along with him. They can't get along with him because his wisdom doesn't fit the narrative they want.

I hope the French people understand that it doesn't HAVE to be a binary choice...they COULD vote for Evan McMullin...

I was passing through the Paris (France, not Texas) today and saw a t-shirt that said "Protect Paris". Below the text was a picture of an AK47.

Maybe he meant to protect from an AK47 or maybe he meant with an AK47. If it is the latter, at least one person has come to his senses.

I understand the inclination to wish Le Pen well. I feel it myself. But I caution myself that European politics is not the same as American, and she may embody some of the awful things that the Left likes to attribute to the American right. Tom Wolfe observed that the dark night of fascism is forever descending on the United States but it always seems to land in Europe. That Macron is no doubt bad does not make Le Pen good.

Being wishy-washy and paralyzed does little to help break the "Deer in the Headlights" the French people are at this stage...Le Pen hopes to bring about some self-preservation measures, instead of continual, liberal hand wringing victim-hood...

I see that as a good thing, but some here think we too should be in the same boat with the French, that is, just accept our status as victims of terrorism, shrug our shoulders while we meekly, passively die...after all, self-defense is just so terribly gauche and smells of right-wing awfulness...

Of course he may be correct, but I recall a recent election where the same type landslide prediction was in force, guess what happened...?

That is true but the results are coming in and unlike the quick undoing of Hillary on election night it appears that Macron is going to take it.

Yes, if they vote in Macron, the French will continue to be 'sheep to the slaughter' looking dumbly on as they continue to be killed, all the while proclaiming we French lefties love you terrorists, but if you want to keep killing us, ok, I guess we deserve it as we were too stupid to vote for self defense leadership.

Just found out Macron won, sigh...

Here's a conservative commentator's take on Le Pen:

"The Front National is not a standard party, and American conservatives should not be unhappy to see it lose. Its origins are in colonial revanchistes; until recently it was openly illiberal and anti-Semitic, and many of its adherents still are; its political representatives are generally second rate; and its policies are an incoherent mix of left-wing economic fantasies and nakedly nationalist reflexes which were outdated a century ago. This is not (yet) a political party with which US conservatives should have anything whatsoever to do."
