Gunsmith in Houston Heights

#1

Post by Doug.38PR »

I'm trying to think of the name and contact of a gunsmith I used about 12 years ago to reblue some Colt revolvers of mine. He operates out of a little warehouse in the Heights. He does a lot of gunsmithing work for police officers. He does an excellent job at rebluing guns. But I cannot think of his name. He's well known apparently.

Can anybody help me out? I have a co-worker who needs some work done on a few guns damaged by the flooding.

Thank you

Are you thinking of Gary Lucario? Not exactly the Heights, just off Gulf Bank Road, east of I-45. 281-847-5732.

I seem to have lost his card, but you might be thinking of Herman Mueschke. He's in the Heights and kinda like a large old garage. I'll keep looking for his info, and if I find it again, I'll let you know. (I was given his info by the fine folks at Collector's Firearms).

It appears he has passed away. http://www.legacy.com/obituaries/housto ... =175880182
You might try Freer Gun Shop, now run by Les Freer's son. I have not used the son, but used his dad many, many years ago in association with Grant Ilseng's Sporting Goods. Inc.
