I was hoping this guy would pull through but I didn't see how he could. Very sad to see an LEO killed by worthless rabid animals masquerading as human.
I hope they both get the fast lane to the death chamber and it's slow enough for some "suffering reflection" on their pathetic existence.

Unfortunately they will outlive a number of people on this forum. We need to ensure their right to a speedy trial and (if convicted) a speedy appeals process. I see no reason for the whole process to take more than 36 months.rbwhatever1 wrote:I was hoping this guy would pull through but I didn't see how he could. I'd be alright with dropping the numeral "3" from that time estimate.jmra wrote: Unfortunately they will outlive a number of people on this forum. Make it a public hanging in the courthouse square if you really want to see a deterrent.

We get the San Antonio news and I've been following this story. Like others I've been praying for the guy to pull through - it's so sad he didn't. The perps will probably wind up being housed, clothed, entertained and fed by the state for the rest of their lives (unfortunately.)

An update:
Shawn Puente, one of the two robbers/killers charged with capital murder in the death of SAPD Officer Robert Deckard was convicted last week, and is now in the penalty phase where the jury will choose between life imprisonment or death.
https://www.mysanantonio.com/news/local ... 784842.php
(The article misspells the officer's last name).
As of yet I can find no information on the other person charge, Jenevieve Ramos, except as a reference in articles about Puente.
ETA: She's still awaiting trial.

ETA x2: I look at the pictures of Puente and I can't help thinking that his attorneys dressed him up and styled his hair to look as much like Forrest Gump as possible. One of the things they are arguing in his punishment phase is his mental capacity. He apparently scores low on verbal tests but high on non-verbal.
